Today I decided to test out Topaz's new low light function which is available with the latest update of Topaz Denoise.
For this test I decided to dig deep into the archives and found an old image - one of my first in fact taken on the Panasonic Lumix G7 complete with the 45-175mm Lumix lens.
This was a good test for Topaz as the G7 is a bit long in the tooth now and comes from the previous generation of Micro Four Third sensors (as found in the GH4) as such because of this and the high ISO (6400) it was an ideal candidate for the test.
As we can see the effect is awesome! Noise has all but gone and most of the crucial details have been retained.
The result is a somewhat useable image depending on the platform or print size but bare in mind many photographers wouldn't accept above ISO 3200 on APSC or 35mm sized sensors so its a good result.
Here is the final image. Please note it's at 75% quality to save on file size.
