I grew up in the large sea side town of Southend-On-Sea, Essex and at age 21 joined the British Army's 1st Battalion The Royal Anglian Regiment serving in Northern Ireland, Kenya and two front line operational tours in Helmand Province, Afghanistan.
Two years ago my family and I left the stress of Essex behind and now live in the beautiful county of Norfolk where we get to experience wildlife and nature in their purest forms. My aim is to capture this in the most beautiful way that I can using my (new) weapons of choice the Panasonic Lumix system cameras.
Unlike many other wildlife photographers I prefer my subjects to be completely wild and always strive for a more realistic encounter with nature. It's harder and the results are not always as spectacular but in my opinion photographing virtually tame deer in a London park is not wildlife photography! I hope this is reflected in my work.
My aim is to
Inspire others to become closer to and reconnect with nature.
Help others to grow as photographers.
Educate people on the importance of wildlife and it's conservation locally but also worldwide, so we may enjoy the gift of nature for generations to come.
